Meet Dr. Bakian

Dr. Ara Bakian is a board-trained periodontist dedicated to helping patients restore and maintain optimal oral health through expert periodontal care and implant dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California, where he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive dental care and patient-centered treatment.

Driven by a passion for advanced surgical care, Dr. Bakian pursued specialty training in periodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. His training included the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease, soft tissue grafting, bone regeneration, and dental implant placement. He is also certified in IV sedation and experienced with advanced technologies including periodontal lasers, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), and digital implant-planning systems such as X-Guide.

During his residency, Dr. Bakian presented at conferences at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine on topics including guided bone regeneration and All-on-X implant workflows. He has also contributed to research and publications involving peri-implant disease and a variety of clinical case reports.

Committed to continuing education, Dr. Bakian stays current with the latest techniques and technologies in periodontics to provide effective, minimally invasive, and long-lasting treatment. He takes pride in delivering personalized care in a warm and comfortable environment, placing each patient’s comfort, understanding, and goals at the center of every treatment plan. He values building lasting relationships with patients and their families throughout their oral health journey.

Outside the office, Dr. Bakian enjoys playing soccer, attending concerts, and checking out the newest restaurants in the area.
